Barcelona: Found in Translation: Spain. Or how the Barcelona experience influenced the work of 7 jewellery artists. The project proposed by Gallery Klimt02, takes Barcelona as a topic, not as a geographic location, but as a reference, as an opportunity to express the dichotomy between local and global, traditional and contemporary, individual and collective.

“Fireta are pieces made for playing in small format, reproducing traditional forms of kitchenware in miniature (dishes, pots, cups, jars, mortars, etc.). Made of clay or tin. A homenage result of the respect I have for Catalan pottery as a part of my roots and tradition. By making them jewellery they are close to the body, functioning as communication and thinking mechanisms to talk about tradition; history yet re- inventing a new one.”
